Introduction to BRONZclay™

This single day workshop will introduce students to the newest metal clay, BronzClay. Students will learn how to adapt silver clay techniques to bronze; make slip; join pieces; texture clay, and carve. Tips and techniques taught will include the use of a mandrel, drying the clay, estimating shrinkage, finishing, and adding colorful patinas.
3 Tiered Primitive Gourd Bells

Using 3 gourd tops in various sizes students will prepare, design, and create a uniquely beautiful tiered gourd bell to display indoors or outside your home. Stains, paints, sinew, beads, bells, and finishes will be provided. This workshop is suitable for adults and children ages 10 and up.
Intro to Lampworking : Making Glass Beads

Making glass beads is called lampworking because hundreds of years ago, artisans heated glass using oil lamps. Today a propane/oxygen torch is used to heat glass rods to over 1700 degrees. This workshop is designed for the beginner, no glassworking experience required. Students will be introduced to the basics of shaping colorful glass in the flame of a stationary torch. Using gravity, a variety of tools, color, and form, small treasures will be created. Studio set-up and safety will be discussed, followed by periodic demonstrations and plenty of practice time to get students comfortable with melting glass and to explore surface decoration.
Origami Thursdays

Origami is the ancient art of paper folding. The word is Japanese, and literally means to fold (oru) paper(kami). Students will learn the different types of folds to make paper flowers and animals. Each participant will take home their own copy of Picture Perfect Origami a retail value of $21.95.
Wikies - Primitive Gourd Doll Pin

In this fun workshop students will be supplied with precut, cleaned, gourd shapes to create 3 “Wikies” (wearable pins.) This workshop will entail some sanding and cutting. Paints, beads, horse hair, etc. will be provided. This workshop is suitable for adults and children ages 10 and up.
Daisies & Leaves Design Wine Glassses & Dessert Plates
